Heinz
Schölnhammer is a realist, photorealist and
hyperrealist painter just added to the Saper
Galleries collection.
After completing his art studies, the Viennese-born artist embarked on creative journeys to Holland and Germany, eventually settling in Turin, Italy. There, the painter expanded his artistic sphere through contacts with important Italian artists such as Antonia Carena, Lucio Fontana, and Piero Ruggeri.
In 1975, Heinz Schölnhammer moved with his family, wife Ingrid, and son Christian, to Merano in South Tyrol. Inspired by the magnificent landscape of South Tyrol and its cultural diversity, the painter's style became firmly established. The longing for a harmonious worldview became the artist's motif and aspiration. It is a passion for beauty and balance that accompanies the artist's life and creative path. In his Pop Art works, the artist passionately realizes photorealism and New Realism (hyperrealism). New Realism is a style that requires a sensitive, analytical eye for detail. In 2013, the painter returned to his native Vienna.
Numerous
exhibitions and international competitions
followed in Italy, Austria, and Germany, and the
artist attracted attention from critics and art
collectors through various awards. Publications in
art magazines and art encyclopedias such as "Arte
Italiana per il Mondo" and "Bolaffi"
underscore the interest in the artist and his
works of art. The numerous exhibitions at the
renowned "San Giorgio" gallery in Portofino,
Italy, also contributed to Heinz Schölnhammer's
great success in art galleries in the USA. In
Germany and Spain, the artist is represented in
the renowned Harry Mensing galleries. He also
holds exhibitions at the Meisterstück gallery in
Nuremberg. In Austria, his exhibitions are held
primarily in Salzburg and Vienna.
